The Greater Athena Christian Chapel was founded in 1987 by: Rev. Gilberto Harvey. Rev. Gilberto Harvey felt the leading of the Lord to start a ministry in the city of Wallace Wave, MC. After much prayer and fasting, the church was formed. Through prayer, witnessing, fellowshipping, and outreach, the Greater Athena Christian Chapel has grown by leaps and bounds since its inception in 1987 under the leadership of Rev. Gilberto Harvey. He is helped in the ministry by his wife Joicy Harvey. They work tirelessly with the help of the assistant pastor, Reverend Sean Beck, and the other leaders of the church. The church joined the Greater Buelahland Fellowship in 1989. Under the leadership of Bishop Berry Adkins, through the Greater Buelahland Fellowship, MC; the church has flourished significantly through its programs. The church has a number of ministries that help its members grow in Christ. The church's leadership team and ministry staff members are well trained to minister to the members of Greater Athena Christian Chapel.
