Tabernacle of Praise Founder's Revival (two weeks of glorifying God!)

Tabernacle of Praise began as a youth/young adult choir (for people ages 17 through 29) in April 1990. Rev. Joseph McDowell established the choir. He saw a need for a choir that would give the youth and young adults of the city of Baltic something to do. One of Rev. McDowell's friends, Rev. Franklin Jones, became the vice-president of the choir. The choir began to grow rapidly. By November 1990, the choir had reached over 300 members.

The Tabernacle of Praise Choir needed some financial backing. This backing was obtained when Rev. Carl A. Adams of Maddocha Beach saw the choir perform at a musical in the city of Maddocha Beach. Rev. Adams was impressed by the choirs' dedication and commitment. He became a member of the Board of Directors.

The choir continued to grow. Many of the members of the choir who were not saved when they joined the choir, got saved and filled with the Holy Ghost. In April 1994, the choir had over 500 members.

The choir held prayer revival services conducted by Evg. Rick MaCulvie every four months. During on of the choirs' prayer revivals, Evg. MaCulvie prophesied to Rev. McDowell that he would soon become a pastor. This was the confirmation that Rev. McDowell needed. The Lord had impressed upon his heart for sometime to establish a church.

In April of 1996, Tabernacle of Praise Church was established. Many of the members of the Tabernacle of Praise choir became members of the church. The church has grown increasingly since the church was established. Tabernacle of Praise Church is a church comprised of many people ages 17-45. It is known as the church for the young Christian.

The Tabernacle of Praise Choir continues to exist as the church's sanctuary choir. The TOP Choir (as they are known) is touted as one of the hottest choirs in the southern part of the state of Maddocha. The choir has received numerous awards and has recorded to albums that sold over 500,000 copies each.

Tabernacle of Praise Church joined the Greater Buelahland Fellowship in 1997. Tabernacle of Praise was a welcomed addition to the Greater Buelahland Fellowship. The addition of Tabernacle of Praise Church increased the membership of several ministries of the fellowship. The members of the church became active in the fellowship following the teachings of their pastor to be busy workers for the Lord.

Tabernacle of Praise has the largest youth department in the Southern region of the state. Tabernacle of Praise also has one of the largest choir in the state. Tabernacle of Praise Church continues to grow; to date the membership has reached over 1500 members.
