Greater Harvest Church was founded in 1994 by Eld. Michael Joner. He purchased a building at the church's present address.

The church began with 12 members.  The church has had a steady growth of new members since its inception. Eld. Joner and his wife believe in reaching the people who do not normally come to church. The members of the church serve food at a homeless shelter every weekend. The church also provides tutoring services for the areas youth.

Greater Harvest Church has become a welcomed permanent fixture in the community.
