Clark Chapel was founded in 1961 by Rev. Habbakuk Clark.  Rev. Habbakuk Clark is the uncle of Rev. Phineas Clark, Jr., the current pastor.

Under Rev. H. Clark, Clark Chapel began to slowly grow.  In 1976, the membership increased by more than 50%.  Rev. H. Clark had become famous for his rousing sermons about the life of Christ and how we should follow Christ's example.  People came from all over to hear his sermons.

In 1994, Rev. H. Clark took ill.  He began to train his young nephew, Rev. Phineas Clark, Jr., to take over the church.  Rev. P. Clark was as gifted a preacher as his uncle.  When Rev. H. Clark died in 1995, Rev. P. Clark took over the church.  After Rev. P. Clark took over the church, a number of the older members left the church because they felt that Rev. P. Clark, then 23 years old, was too young to pastor.

This did not deter Rev. P. Clark in any way.  He and the remaining members began to talk to people and witness to people.  The membership doubled by the end of 1995.

Oct. 8, 1997 was a very tramatic day for Rev. P. Clark and his family.  His mother suddenly died.  Rev. P. Clark was very heart-broken and was considering giving up the ministry.

Rev. P. Clark was encouraged by his friend, Eld. Gabriel Daniels, pastor of PENTECOST HOUSE OF REFUGE in Rysar. He talked to Rev. P. Clark and  encouraged him to remain in the ministry.  Eld. Daniels also introduced Rev. P. Clark to Bishop J. Berry Adkins, founder of the GREATER BUELAHLAND FELLOWSHIP.   In 1998, Clark Chapel joined the Greater Buelahland Fellowship.

Clark Chapel has continued to grow since 1998.   Clark Chapel has the largest youth ministry in the city of Rysar.  The youth ministry has been recognized by the city of Rysar.
