Beth Eden Christian Center was founded in 1987 by Rev. George Montclair. He was a member of a non-Pentecostal faith and he had received the Holy Ghost while attending a revival at Greater Buelahland Interdenominational House Of Rest. In 1986, Rev. Montclair was given a vision by God to began his own church. He fasted and prayed for sometime before he launched out and began his church. Rev. Montclair had become friends with Bishop Berry Adkins, who was the pastor and founder of Greater Buelahland Interdenominational House Of Rest. Bishop Adkins was very helpful to Rev. Montclair. The building that was purchased to house Beth Eden was in practically given to Rev. Montclair by the owner. When asked about this miracle, Rev. Montclair often states, "God knew what we needed and He gave it to us." Beth Eden Christian Center was established and it began to grow rapidly. The owner of the building was the first new soul to get saved after Beth Eden was opened. He was an affluent member of the Absanie community. He became a wonderful witness for the church. Beth Eden has Monday School instead of Sunday School. Beth Eden Monday is one of the most popular "hangouts" on Monday evenings. People who are not even members of Beth Eden attend Monday School. Beth Eden Christian Center was one of the first churches to join the Greater Buelahland Fellowship once it was established by Bishop Adkins. Beth Eden continues to grow. They have established a scholarship fund that has sent over 150 students to college. As well as a community mentoring program for troubled young people in the area. Beth Eden also opened up a computer center that is used by people in the city of Absanie. God is blessing Beth Eden Christian Center. |
