About Us

212 Music Ministries was founded in 1990 by Dacus Green. He was promoting a group called This Praise in 1989.  As This Praise began to get more popular, other singers and groups began to ask Dacus to promote their music as well.  Dacus saw this need and with the help of his father, Cole Green, Dacus began 212 Music Ministries.

Dacus is often asked how he came up with the name 212 Music Ministries.  Dacus says, "I was driving on Collier Court. I saw the address number 212.  That number just stuck in my head.  Later on, I decided to name my ministry that name.  Everyone expects me to have some great revelation or something of that nature about the name.  It wasn't like that."

By May 1990, 212 Music Ministries had a roster of 6 Artists.  Dacus hired a staff.  In June 1990, several of the 212 Music Ministries artists were asked to sing at a musical given by the Greater Buelahland Fellowship.  Once Dacus meet the prelate of the fellowship, Bishop J.  Berry Adkins, Dacus was interested in joining the organization, which he did in July.

212 Music Ministries and Dacus Green have helped a number of aspiring singers, groups, poets, and ministers began their career. The 212 Music Ministries roster has grown and there are now 22 Artists on the roster.  212 Music Ministries manages and promotes local artists from the cities of Edmond, Dorinda, Carrington, Gineo, Absanie, Hardaway, and Wyman. 212 Music Ministries is looking to expand their ministry into other cities in the state of Maddocha.

As Dacus Green often states, "In this day and time, we need as many people heralding the gospel, whether it be in song or by word of mouth."
